HOW TO VIEW BYNWR 3D
It is recommended that you use a VR viewer, or a 3D TV/3D monitor, to view this material. Due to our commitment to providing the greatest possible 3D viewing experience, anaglyph 3D (requiring red and blue glasses) has been rejected as a viewing option. A virtual reality headset viewer, or a cardboard VR viewer such as Google Cardboard (make sure your phone is compatible) will provide a far superior 3D viewing experience to anaglyph 3D, and can be purchased for as little as $5.00.
FOR PHONE-BASED VIRTUAL REALITY VIEWERS:
If you are using a VR viewer that requires a smartphone, open the provided video link on your phone, and immediately pause the video. NOTE: do not view through software provided by VR apps, it will not work. View directly through the glasses without software. Snap the phone into the viewer, aligning the center of the video with the center mark inside the viewer. If you have a remote control or headphones with a pause button, shut the VR viewer, and start the video (make sure it is in fullscreen mode). If you do not have a remote control or headphones with a pause button, you will need to start the video playing immediately before you shut the VR viewer. You may need to adjust focus and/or eyepiece distance for optimal clarity. There are also inexpensive, fold-up pocket viewers (such as the Starlight or the VRPARK-1) that are just a pair of lenses that clip onto your phone. Make sure you get an adjustable set as not all eyes are the same.
FOR STAND-ALONE VR VIEWERS AND 3D TVS AND MONITORS:
We provide a separate version specifically for stand-alone (not phone-based) VR viewers such as the Oculus Rift/Oculus Go, as well as for 3D TVs. For stand-alone VR viewers, use the browser to navigate to the specific byNWR page and play in fullscreen (choose the 3D side-by-side option). For 3D TVs: make sure you have appropriate shutter glasses for that particular TV. Navigate to the provided link. Turn on the 3D Mode on your TV or monitor, and select the Side By Side viewing mode.
FOR NON-3D COMPUTER MONITORS:
The best solution here is a pair of adjustable 3D prism glasses (which are hard to find, try berezin.com). There are a variety of somewhat more traditional stereoscope viewers of varying cost available, such as: the Pixi Viewer, Screen-Vu, ScreenScope, Wheatsone (some brands known to work with the iPad: My3d, 3DVU, Stereopticon, Mapscope, Owl, Smartphone Lornette)
